Living on Campus

As a boarding Arts Academy student, you'll live in a residence hall on our sprawling 1,200 acre campus–and there is a lot to do here besides your classes. Our campus features a suite of amenities – with dining, recreation, and live performance all just steps from your residence hall!

Academy students on a fall day

Students receive one (1) complimentary ticket to all student and guest artist performances. Tickets may be reserved by visiting the Box Office or at the venue prior to the performance. If you have a question about student ticket availability, please stop by or contact the Box Office at boxoffice@interlochen.org or call 231.276.7800.

The Dennison Center boasts a large gymnasium, weight and fitness studios, a game room, climbing wall, and more. Dennison provides students with access to top-of-the-line fitness equipment, free fitness classes, intramural sports tournaments, and school-sponsored sports. Please click here to view current hours.

The Dennison Center is also your home base for fun weekend activities! Weekly activities are announced each Friday in From the Provost's Desk.

Stone Cafeteria
The culinary team creates a new menu each week and prepares three meals a day for Arts Academy students — with hot and cold food bar options. We also provide vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options at every meal. Students with food allergies should reach out to Director of Dining Services Paul Hickman to discuss their needs.

LEARN MORE

At the end of the school year, Arts Academy arranges for returning students to store a limited amount of their belongings on-campus. All articles for storage must be securely boxed and clearly marked with the student's name and address. There is a fee for this service, which must be paid before items can be accepted for storage. Items stored for the summer will not be accessible until September of the following school year.  Information is made available near the end of the year concerning fees for summer storage. Space is limited and is first come, first served.

There is some storage allocated for Camp students who are coming back to the Academy in the same year.
