Kathryn Stolarevsky (UW 38, 40, 42-43) of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on March 27, 2015.
Marjorie Bjork (IAC 42) of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away on March 31, 2015.
Laura Rhind (IAC 43) of Glenview, Illinois passed away on March 27, 2015. Her experience at Interlochen helped shape who she was and she ensured that her children were exposed to music and the arts to enrich their lives.
Donna Neal (IAC 46) of Flint, Michigan passed away on March 16, 2015. Donna told wonderful stories about being the only female bassist at Camp during the summer of 1946. She helped 19 young women string players from Michigan come to Camp through the Donna V. Neal Endowed Scholarship.
Gerald B. (Jerry) Fischer (IAC 54-55, 57) of Wayzata, Minnesota passed away on April 7, 2015. Jerry attended IAC (NMC) JB '54 IB '55& '57. Jerry's father was a trustee, and Jerry followed in his father's footsteps, serving as a trustee from 1987-2007, Chair of the Board 2004-2007 and became a life trustee in 2007. Jerry's siblings, two children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews all have attended or are attending Camp.
Norris Dryer (IAC St 66-67) of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on October 30, 2014.
Hugo Trepte (IAA Fac 67-96) exuberant Arts Academy math instructor for 30 years, passed away on March 15, 2015. Hugo will be remembered for his colorful geometry proofs, long and brisk stride on Math/Science backpacking trips, and his great love of the polka often witnessed at the Shamrock on Beaver Island. His passion for life and math was contagious. Hugo's children - Kai, Anina and Forrest are all Interlochen alumni.
Ann Hanson (IAC St 70-82, IAA 73-81, ICA St 81-12) of Traverse City, Michigan passed away on April 18, 2015. Ann began her 40-year career at the Interlochen Center for the Arts as a cabin counselor and unit leader at the National Music Camp in 1970, was intermediate girls camp director from 1973 to 1982, IAA residence life staff from 1973 to 1981 and then served from 1981 to 2012 as dean of students, assistant to the IAA director, and director and vice president of human and institutional resources.
Bill Owens (IAC Fac 71-80) of Amarillo, TX passed away on March 27, 2015.
Marilyn Smith (IAC St 92-12, ICA St 02-12) of Interlochen, Michigan passed away on February 21, 2015.
Jeannine Milne (IAC St 79-90, ICA 90-14) "Scholarshop Extraordinaie" of Traverse City, Michigan passed away on March 9, 2015. She worked at Interlochen for 35 years. While here, she embodied the institution. She was often the first person guests saw when they came to the Interlochen campus as they stopped by the Scholarshop. She had a big heart and an infectious, quirky sense of humor. She was the first to help a co-worker celebrate a birthday and tried her best to make sure she was not around when it was her birthday. Whether she was working in the flower shop or riding around campus on a golf cart, she would draw you in and make your day brighter. It was obvious she loved what she did. Jeanne always said God brought her to Interlochen, and now she is with Him.
