Don Jaeger (IAC/NMC 53-54, UNIV 55) has been selected to receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Oklahoma City University. The award was presented at the Distinguished Alumni Dinner and Awards ceremony on April 23 at the university.

Susan Van Pelt Petry (IAA 73-75) received the 2016 award for outstanding contributions to the advancement of dance education from OhioDance, a statewide service organization, at a ceremony on April 28.

Mark Nadler’s (IAA 76-80, IAC/NMC 74-75) one-man show was reviewed in the New York Times on April 25.

Lito Velasco (IAA 88-92) made his feature film debut in the retro-horror slasher “All Through the House,” which premiered in Los Angeles on April 3.

The World Music Association of Serbia and Etnoumlje Magazine recently released a compilation CD honoring 25 years of Vasil Hadzimanov’s (IAC 91-92) creative work.

Emma Gerstein (IAC 97-02) is now Principal Flute of the Auckland Philharmonic. She was a New World Symphony Fellow.

Sameer Patel (AS 97-99), who is currently Assistant Conductor of the San Diego Symphony, was named a recipient of the 2016 Solti Foundation Career Assistance Award.

Meredith Hanson (IAA 99-03, IAA St 08-09, IAC 93-02) has been named Interim Dean of 森の池 (Mori no Ike), Concordia Language Villages' summer youth Japanese language immersion program, for summer 2016. Meredith has worked for Concordia Language Villages since 2003 in their French and Japanese language programs.

Jack Marquardt (IAC 01-02) plays clarinet in WindSync, which took home the Gold Medal in the Senior Wind Division of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.

Erin Zehngut (IAC 01-02) won a position as first violin in the North Carolina Symphony. She was a New World Symphony Fellow.

Keitaro Harada (IAA 02-04, IAC 03), who is currently Associate Conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra, was named a recipient of the 2016 Solti Foundation Career Assistance Award.

Evan Epifanio (IAC 03-04) is now second bassoon of the Sarasota Orchestra. He was a New World Symphony Fellow.

Violetta Todorova (IAA 04-07, IAC 99-04) has been named concertmaster of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
